What is Factory Scheduled Maintenance?
Every vehicle has a recommended service schedule. The manufacturer of your vehicle has set intervals for your vehicle, spaced out to ensure that your vehicle will perform optimally for years to come. Generally, most vehicles have what is called a 30-60-90 schedule, or recommended service to get at intervals of 30,000, 60,000, and 90,000 miles.
How Often Should You Get Service for Your Vehicle?
Most Factory Scheduled Maintenance is spaced out by intervals of 30,000, 60,000, and 90,000 miles. While individual vehicles might have different intervals for specific services, the schedule for your vehicle might look like this:
- Maintenance to get every 30,000 miles: Air filter change and fuel filter change.
- Maintenance to get every 60,000 miles: Battery replacement, brake fluid change, brake pad change, brake rotor change, coolant replacement, transmission fluid replacement.
- Maintenance to get every 90,000 miles: Hose replacement, power steering fluid change, spark plug change, timing belt change.
Check Your Owner's Manual
At the end of the day, no two vehicles will necessarily have the same exact service intervals. To find out the Factory Scheduled Maintenance calendar for your vehicle, check its owner's manual. To learn more about the services your vehicle needs, contact our Service Center.
